QUOTE OF THE DAY
"
Supporting our troops by supporting the war is like supporting our firemen by
supporting arson."
- - Anonymous
APRIL 9 IN HISTORY:
1866 -- U.S. Congress passes a bill,
over the veto of President Andrew Johnson, guaranteeing the same civil rights
to all persons born in the US (citizenship
for all - except Indians, of course).
1969 -- Harvard University students take over the campus administration building,
ousting the deans.
1989 -- Over 300,000 choice supporters march in Washington, D.C., to defend the
Supreme Court's 1973 Roe v. Wade decision.
RHINO HERE:
Last Saturday 10,000 people marched In Oakland, California to protest the bloody
facts of shrub's Iraq war. Over a thousand civilian casualties so far & the
bloody images are being broadcast all over the world except in the U.S. Here
the TV coverage makes it seem very sterile & GPS exact. So while Americans
are being told this war will make us safer, people in what they call the Arab "street" are
getting more & more angry with every drop spilled of Iraqi civilian blood.

Police Riot In Oakland
Then early Monday morning Oakland Police open fired on peaceful protestors who
were walking in a circle with signs; no chaining themselves to anything, no rock
throwing. The police used what they called non-lethal bullets meaning wood & rubber,
trying to clear the protesters from an entrance to the docks. Some longshoremen
were caught in the line of fire. When the protestors tried to run, the cops chased
them continuing to shoot them in their backs for over an hour resulting in multiple
wounds in their faces, necks & backs. PICTURES & DETAILS AT:

Then Tuesday's Los Angeles Times (California section, front page) had an article
titled,
"Antiwar Protest Turns Violent at Port of Oakland."
Unlike other media coverage of the event, the L.A. Times made it sound like
protesters
threw rocks at the police, & that's why the police shot the demonstrators.
The article had a photo of a girl with facial injuries with the caption "A
protester shows injury she says was inflicted by police weaponry. " I guess
they think she may have done that to herself. If you're moved, send a letter

American Sovereignty Restoration Act of 2003
And here's one to call your rep about. Also on Monday Congressman Ron Paul (R-Texas)
re-introduced H.R. 1146, a bill to remove the U.S. from the U.N. I urge you to
join me in contacting your Congressional Reps, but take the opposite position
The John Birch Society is urging you to take. Check out their stance: http://www.jbs.org/visitor/congress/alerts/108_congress/hr1146.htm
I've come to the mind that this war is not just about getting Iraqi Oil.
That
may be a part of it but there are many other factors; the war machine profits,
the nation rebuilding profits, securing the dollar as the currency for oil trade,
appeasing those Apocalyptic Christians who want the Holy Land secured from the
non-Judeo Christians, appeasing the right wing Israeli Likud supporters who want
the Middle East controlled with an iron fist, and last but not least, THE
BOTTOM
LINE today puts forth another well researched theory related to why the French,
German & Russian governments refused to go along with the coalition of the
bribed... oh, I mean willing. A fascinating read with insightful historic background.

Oil On Your French Toast The French, Germans and Russians Didn't Want A War In Iraq Brother Jonathon Gazette, March 21, 2003 YOU CAN READ THE ENTIRE ARTICLE FROM THE TOP AT: http://www.brojon.org/frontpage/FRENCH_TOAST.html (excerpt begins toward the end) ...If you are not old enough to remember WWII, the Vietnam War or the many 1954 "American oil takeovers" in French Indo-China, Algeria, along with Venezuela and Iran, then you probably would believe all that media hype that the War in Iraq is about Iraqi oil. Not so. Its about the only existing oil pipeline direct from the southern Russian oilfields to the Persian Gulf. He who owns that pipe controls the world price of oil, simply by opening and closing the spigot. The vast Russian oil reserves make the Saudi and OPEC oil fields look lilliputian. And if you did not know about that Iraqi pipeline then you would believe that the "shock and awe" tactics were aimed at shocking and fooling the Iraqi's. Not so. It was aimed at you. While you were watching the fabulous fireworks on TV as the bombs fell on Baghdad, you did not notice what the British-American coalition ground troops were really doing. Within hours the troops had rushed in and taken control of the southern pipeline terminal and tank farm facilities near the Persian Gulf port of Basra. Likewise the troops quickly took control of the northern pipeline facilities at Kirkuk and Mosul in the Caucasus mountains. That was to make sure that in the confusion of war, the Turks did not rush in and take control of the area. For decades the Turks have wanted to wrest control of the Caucasus area from the Kurds so that Turkey would become the only pipeline for Russian oil. But that is not in the BP-Standard Oil plan. General Tommy Franks knows who he is working for. He made sure that never happens. If you want proof of all this, just read today's headlines. In the coming weeks, ignore all the left-wing/right-wing hype and spin about what you are supposed to think and feel about the horrors and tragedy of war and evil dictators. Stay focused on the actual events that occur, not the spin. Just notice that the Iraqi War will end when that Iraqi pipeline is securely under British-American a.k.a., BP-Standard Oil control. For background information on the history of the hidden oil wars that shaped the 20th century and explain the current events in the 21st century read "Black Gold Hot Gold."
