So many islands, so little time Living in Indonesia and learning to Weblog via Radio (along with many other very random thoughts and stories).
I just deleted my favorite news feed. Weird huh? I love Dictionary.com, but having to click the link everyday to view the word was a hassle (I'm lazy). Then I discovered that I can subscribe via email to the word of the day and the email contains all the info. No more clicking. So, I like ScriptingNews better via XML and Dictionary.com via email. I guess it makes sense. Ultimately I'm trying to reduce time on line. When I first set up Radio 8.0, I signed up for a bunch of news feeds. TOO MANY. Wow, information overload. I still have 12 subscriptions. I definitely like reading ScriptingNews via this format better than email. I like being able to quickly delete the things I'm not interested in and come back the ones I want to read. This is important since I live overseas (Indonesia) and internet access is expensive and often slow. This is my first story. Seems that every new Radio based weblog has one or more of these entries, wonder why? ;-) I had lots of fun trying to get this thing to work. Seems that it was a problem with having Radio 7.0 installed previously. Nasty little bug/feature. I'm sure it is there to preserve the prefs of upgrading users, but since I never really got around to using Radio 7.0 it is a bug for me. Anyway, here's the solution in case you too have this problem:
