Thought For The Night

Augh... Rss to XML Database to Flash for real time (or nearly) monitoring via a digitial dashboard. . . Radio just added a bunch of IM related calls, so would it be possible to have your Dash msg you (my cell can be msged) to alert you to an important change?

Flash can talk to Java now as well, so you could have a simple logic set up (put calls?) that will handle the rules for any such messaging.

Ah, the Star Trek style communicator badge is here. Vocera has developed a badge that allows for WiFi based voice communications. You'll need a Windows 2000 server to run the badges, but this would be great as a replacement for walkie talkies once the price point comes down ($400 USD).
