Out of the Comfort Zone...
Today I learned that our team's management has decided to have me move from being QA lead of editors (on the IDE team) to being QA lead of the x86 compiler back end. What this means is that I am leaving the area that I have been working on for the last five years to go to an area unknown to me and where the technology is something that I haven't thought about since my college days. This is undoubtedly good for me and will give other folks an opportunity for growth as well. Scary, though...
Good bye to UI test automation and hello to command line tools...
