New Job I'm only moving down the hall but so far, from what I can tell, it looks like a different world.  6 years of testing our IDE is over and now I move to leading a compiler test team.  And not just the compiler - the compiler back end.  Not even C++ - intermediate language and generated code.  No more UI automation - command line tools.  My new boss told me to read Muchnick so I started that today.  Plus a lot of internal design docs.  Lots of learning to do... 6:26:11 PM    comment []
