Off Work Our product unit manager gave us two extra days off for the holidays.  The catch was they had to be taken by 1/3 so I took today off and I'm taking tomorrow off as well.  Kind of a lazy day; we sat home and watched Ken Burns' Mark Twain. I have really become a Ken Burns fan.  The movies of his that I've seen so far (Baseball, The Civl War, Jazz) are uniformly excellent and Mark Twain is no exception.  My favorite so far, though, is The Civil War.  It's given me an appreciation of the history of this country that I never had before. 9:13:13 PM    comment []

Over to my friend Greg's yesterday for Chinese hot pot and to show him my new Tablet PC.  After eating, he broke out his massive collection of CD's and we listened to a bunch of different music.  One of his newest acquisitions is a 20 CD set of Miles Davis at Newport.  I need to own more of Miles' music (currently I only have Kind of Blue)... 12:12:25 AM    comment []
