> liveTopics and Meta tags

Matt Mower's liveTopics provides a cool though not clearly visible macro: liveTopicsMetaData.

Inserting a call to liveTopicsMetaData in the header section of your #homeTemplate.txt file, like this : <%liveTopicsMetaData () %> will generate a tag in your home page, with the keywords name attribute, and a content attribute listing the latest 25 liveTopics keywords used in your weblog. Here's what's currently included in s l a m 's home page header section:
<meta name="keywords" content="liveTopics Indexing Radio activeRenderer">
This meta tag is very useful to give Web prowling robots and spiders, such as those in Google's service, an idea of what your site is about.

You may specify the number of keywords to include as an optional first parameter, like this : <%liveTopicsMetaData ( 10 ) %>.

You may also include a list of 'always there', fixed keywords as another optional parameter, like this : <%liveTopicsMetaData ( "monitoring", "logging", "sysadmin" ) %>.

I wouldn't normally post something like this. Not providing a title is bad editorial manner. The reason I'm doing it is to test activeRenderer's latest feature.

Beta testers have ganged up on me to provide something better than an isolated, centered wedge for posts lacking titles. My first answer, uncoupling the outline items option from the outline publication dates option wasn't enough apparently.

So now I'm doing the next best thing: faking a title by using the post's first sentence, as returned by the UserTalk string.firstSentence method. This feature will come with activeRenderer beta 9, the last beta version before release.
