While I was in Bonn last week, I spent half the night with Andre Radke, wolfing down some great home made pizza and having him review activeRenderer's code.

Andre, whose Frontier and Usertalk experience is way beyond mine, is as good a software engineer as he is a cook. As a result, he came up with a lot of excellent suggestions for simplifying aR's code and making it more robust.

I have just finished testing his modifications and releasing the updated parts.

The current list of modifications can be checked in activeRenderer's updates RSS feed.

The roadmap to version 1.3 is kept up to date in the activeRenderer project on my JIRA server.

I'm back in NYC, and boy, does it feel good :-) Blogging while traveling is a valuable skill that I still have to master, obviously.

In 2 weeks, I've gone from New York to San Francisco to Paris, London, Brussels, Bonn, Zürich, back to Paris, then back to New York.

Meanwhile, I've met some very interesting fellows: Donovan, Mikel and Marc in SF, Matt, Paolo and Monica in London, Andre in Bonn, Raphael in Zürich.

I don't know any Brussels or Paris based bloggers yet, but I expect this to change momentarily. That's one of the additional bonuses of weblogging for frequent travelers: you get to meet cool people everywhere you go :-)
