Longhorn just keeps getting better.  The newest leaked build 4029 which is still a month or more old is slowly starting to pull things together.  Even though most of them are just proof of concept functions they're still showing that some good concepts are getting out.

As a side note to any MS employees that might read this.  I know I shouldn't be playing with this and the legal problems that could ensue.  The deal is that I love your employer and it's products and I can't fight the urge to play with them even in a raw form.  If you can find some way to for me to legally do this I'll be all over it.  I don't care how many NDA's I have to sign, or whether I have to use them in a bomb shelter with the lights off and Steve Jobs as a roommate.  It would be worth it.  Seriously.

Ok all Microsoft haters, flame away.

Setback for Microsoft Ripples Through the World Wide Web. Last month, Microsoft suffered a stinging legal setback. But this time, the rest of the industry is not smiling. By Steve Lohr. [New York Times: NYT HomePage]

Attack Microsoft, kill them, blah blah.  This one might be the one to teach em.  Once again as hard as it would be I say fuck the customers.  Take out the support.  No dialog boxes, no fixes.  Just break it and break it good.  Whether they got there by legal means or not they are the #1 player in these markets and anything that affects them affects ALOT of people.  Maybe a little more attention should be payed to that before handing out victories.  Oh well I guess.

What's this?  The government doing something that makes sense?  I'm impressed.  Kudos!
