I bought 2 CD's yesterday. More than I've purchased in over 2 years. Murphy Lee and Atmosphere. The only reason I purchased them is because I want to support them enough so that they make more. Plus having downloaded them before I bought them I knew that I liked enough of the CD to make it worth the money. Also...I found out about the albums both through a file sharing service. So there goes all the myths in one paragraph.
