Blogging Alone Daily Audio Browse show notes

Jon Udel interviews Auther van Hoff about the Tivo SDK duration 20 or so minutes nice talk. Cool new posibilities with their sdk posible open the future of Tivo Blogging if they can get the link to work. Who will be the first to get their Tivo RSS reader ready to ship. I like the X 10 possiblities, I've been playing around with that stuff on and off for years. The complexity of X 10 protocol and home automation is still above my personal complexity threashold but getting simpler.

Rachel Patchette has another episode of Rachel's Choice.

Interview with Mustafa Barghouti(mp3) came to me via IndyMedia Radio file called 2005 Need to put stuff like the file location in the mp3 idt tags.

Freek Radio has a nice promo, highly produced with all the wizzing sounds and stuff

Bloging in the Legislator taking off

In Austin Texas we have Jason Sabo blogging the Texas Legislators for the United Way. I think there should be more of this. I want to see some podcast.

Legislative Blogging.

The Salt Lake Tribune has a piece this morning on Utah legislators who blog. Right now, the only one who's really active is Rep. Steve Urquhart from St. George, but others are promising to start. I wish there were more. I recognize that some people in public service are reluctant to be too open (and often for good reason), but its refreshing to see how someone who is supposed to be representing you really thinks. Blogs are perfect for that.

New Multi-Core Cell Processor released yield new opportunities.

I wonder if mult-icore processors will help prolong Moore's law. They look to be getting some impressive speed gains which will help when working with really rich media like hdtv files.

PC World: IBM, Sony, Toshiba Unveil Nine-Core Cell Processor. The prototype chip discussed Monday is comprised of one 64-bit PowerPC processor core and eight separate processing cores that the companies call "synergistic processing elements," or SPEs. The cores can support multiple operating systems and programming models through the use of virtualization technologies... [Tomalak's Realm]
