It took most of the day for the Neurontin to clear my system. I was very thick and fuzzy, had significant cognitive and speaking issues, and was just plain bushed. Tonight finally, I'm feeling a little sharper. Still total roadkill though.

If Neurontin came in a pill form, I could split it and start at 50 mgs instead of 100 mgs. But the 100 mgs is just too much for me to start with. I can't sleep at 100 mgs and I don't want to go through what it would take to get acclimated to it. So, the Neurontin gets tossed into my pharmaceutical cast off pile.

Hmmmm. Last night's Neurontin experiment did not go too well. I had the same type of reaction to Neurontin that I do to narcotics and Trazadone - I became very thick and fuzzy, but didn't sleep at all well. I woke up several times and tossed and turned all night. Neurontin is supposed to be an easy drug - very clean. The Slat Rat Physiology did not react as if it was clean. sigh...

I supposed I should give it a chance for another few nights. Both my doc and my shrink would think it's worth the effort. However, I'm so familiar with this type of reaction and it does not get better. I don't want to sacrifice sleep for the next two to three nights. So I probably won't continue with it.
