Tonight's very good wine: The 1998 Yakima valley Klipsun Vineyards Merlot from Wilridge Winery. I do not normally like Merlots - they tend to be round, smooth, and boring - no depth and no character. However, this wine had an absolutely superb nose, and had some real depth and even a little spice. An intense Merlot, that's for sure.
