Uptime: the Mac OS X killer app (Doc Searls?), but speakable, thanks to Mac OS X Hints.

Going to restart soon, I guess.

DO NOT FOLLOW THIS LINK if you have respiratory problems; I could not breathe for about ten minutes, gasping for air while laughing my lungs out. My Little Pony or pee-oh-ahr-en star? [by way of boingboing to another of Lore's works, the evil overmom thing]

He also points out Caterina, a woman who dates guys who (used to) read A&L Daily, Lingua Franca, and can recite the first four lines of Canterbury Tales. Caterina, why settle for just the first four lines? Sure, I messed up some of the lines and misspelled several of the words, but I have been told (in ages past) that my pronunciation is spot on. Not that this should be a hard criterion for picking someone of a datable nature; I mean, come on, any monkey can learn the first four lines of Chaucer. Speaking of monkeys, I was just reading in one of my back issues of Lingua Franca about the case for the semi-aquatic evolution of man.

For my friends without jobs: Mr. Leuschke points to this response to rejection letters. For my friends with a thing for cats, well, he’s got something for you too.
