Matthew Dowdy is being charged with making “a materially and intentionally false statement or representation to a law enforcement officer who is in the course of conducting an investigation of a crime by another.” Bah! By my lights (note IANAL&TGFT!) I think a case could be made, if another person gets shot, for charging him with conspiracy to murder, or aiding and abetting a criminal.
