Ron doesn’t want to eat with me this my last night here. I am feeling down. I will eat in Appleby’s which seems more congenial to lone diners, but I will be dreaming of the Marker. Curling up with Kushner and Sherman. Fall of the Kings is not as sparse with exposition and world-detail as Swordspoint was, something I attribute to Sherman, but very readable. Set about a generation and a half or so after, it makes some reference to some of the events of that novel.
