Doug Baskins tries to describe the Judy structure in ten minutes. Judy arrays (or Judy trees) are associative arrays/maps that are designed and optimized for modern memory architectures. Haven’t tried them yet, but they look to be of interest. [by way of sweetcode.org]

Pumas make me so horny... [by way of coderlog] (Um, kind of salacious; ie slightly not safe for work, but it’s the weekend. Ah, never mind; forget I mentioned it.) [Update: Whoops, took a closer look, and realized it’s utterly salacious. And Liz may be upset at that I pointed coderlog out rather than Gawker, which broke it first and is on my sidebar, which shows I haven’t been following Gawker as regularly as I ought, seeing as now I’m coming back to New York City.]
