We just returned from the end-of-the-year concert at the high school where our two sons went. What a joy. With kids coming and going, as they are wont to do in high school, the talent pool ebbs and flows. Well, it flowed this year. Between the several stars and the rest of the musicians who obviously wanted to be there and have a good time, the place was rocking.
I know the public schools are taking bit hits these days, and young people have a lot to deal with, but that two-and-a-half hour concert was enough to restore my faith in the whole system. The music and the spirit were that good.
