Three charged in hate-crime spree The Toronto Star - Three people, an 18-year-old man and two 15-year-old young offenders, have been arrested in connection with a spree of hate-related crimes where swastikas were painted on Jewish buildings and head-stones toppled at a cemetery in the Bathurst St. and Steeles Ave. W. area.
Steven Vandermey, 18, of Toronto and two 15-year-old youths, who cannot be named because of the Youth Justice Act, have been charged with three counts of mischief under $5,000, one count of mischief over $5,000 and mischief relating to religious property.
