Court rules against record firms The Toronto Star - Door slammed on Canadian music industry's bid to obtain names of file sharers. "No evidence was presented that the alleged infringers either distributed or authorized the reproduction of sound recordings," von Finckenstein wrote in his 28-page ruling. Three charged in hate-crime spree The Toronto Star - Three people, an 18-year-old man and two 15-year-old young offenders, have been arrested in connection with a spree of hate-related crimes where swastikas were painted on Jewish buildings and head-stones toppled at a cemetery in the Bathurst St. and Steeles Ave. W. area. Steven Vandermey, 18, of Toronto and two 15-year-old youths, who cannot be named because of the Youth Justice Act, have been charged with three counts of mischief under $5,000, one count of mischief over $5,000 and mischief relating to religious property.  2:45:36 PM

Mohammed Dockrat, a university lecturer, claims the recent case of a Palestinian teenager, wearing a suicide jacket, being arrested at an Israeli checkpoint, was an Israeli set-up. "The Hamas group never uses children in suicide-bomb attacks and it occurs mostly on buses where there is a civilian target. Although it is hard to take him seriously when he dresses his 6 year old son up in a suicide vest of fake explosives, and then teaches him to kill jews through suicide. Of course it is easy to say that teens are not being recruited for suicide, but the reality will shock you.  Why are Canada, France, Germany, and Russia not condeming this practice?  How is it that the UN doesn't condemn this?  Where are the human rights groups?    11:59:05 AM
