Aladdin's updated their menu. I didn't see any new items, though.

Interesting: "Levine questions why teens continue to be prosecuted for having consensual "adult" sex at the same time that, in the area of violent crime, "children" as young as 11 are being prosecuted as adults."

"Outstanding principal balance: $19,043.00... Your Direct Loan(s) will be entering repayment on 01/07/2003."

Yikes.

So, I'm trying to come up with a compelling explanation for this "blog". Basically:

  1. I don't like writing about personal things that much
  2. I'm going to be working soon and will hopefully be able to have some more technical content
  3. I need some place to rant about technical/non-personal things that bother me
  4. Everyone else is doing it/"blogging" is hot

It's not like this is supposed to be particularly interesting to anyone but me. I hope people like it, but it's not my purpose. "Reader-centric writing" is tough; now I can just spout random thoughts for my own amusement. It's not to not have to worry about whether or not some post is interesting, funny, or relevant.

The lead singer of New Order said something like, "I don't wake up and say, 'I've got something to tell the world'... Unless I really dig deep."

Yeah, people are stressed out; I know I am.

"... the evidence strongly suggests that the conditional probability of a riot increases monotonically with temperature."

Furthermore, at this point in the semester/school in general, stakes is high.
