After counting absentee ballots, the Seattle Monorail plan is now 3 votes behind the opposition [Seattle P-I]. However, there are still some "special" ballots that have not been counted because of one or another issue. The final tally will be released today at 5 p.m.

Transmeta is poised to release their second generation microprocessor [CNET News.com]. Their first line of processor's was released after generating a good deal of buzz, only to sputter along in the market. However, the technical concepts behind the chip were always intriguing. Hopefully, ArsTechnica will have a review of the new Transmeta series soon.

I've mentioned before that there are some interesting cable channels that are simulcast on the web [April 22]. Tonight, as I was lamenting the fact that Seattle is overcast and I can't see the Leonids, I listened to Nasa TV through an online stream.

Since I'm on the topic, C-SPAN is also available live online. So, if you are if you are having trouble sleeping, there are many free solutions to help you fall back asleep. Now if only the Weather Channel were simulcast on the web...
