A 10 day old child is presumed dead after a fire breaks out in her home. Six years later, the mother sees a little girl and knows instantly that it is her daughter [Seattle P-I]. It turns out that the baby had been abducted and the house set on fire to cover it up. What amazes me is that this mother actually recognized the child as her own. I've seen a lot of little babies and a lot of baby pictures and they never seem to match up to the adults. I guess a mother really does know her own children. Fascinating. 6:47:55 PM    comment []
