I wish there were some alliterative way of saying "When life gives you gritty sand, make pearls." The lemon to lemonade cliche just doesn't work for me. Especially since there are so many other tastier things you can make with lemons, making lemons not so bad afterall. Oysters take gritty, uncomfortable sand in their living environment that they can't get away from and make pearls. Pearls. Selling lemonade never made anyone rich.
