I think seeing the Two Towers over a year after I read the last trilogy made me enjoy the film more, unable to remember some of the key details I may have found lacking in the movie treatment. Hope. Loyalty. Split personalities.

It makes me think what a difference there is to integrity to self and the power that brings versus the shells we become in pursuit of power over. As it relates in life, as it relates in business. I found myself, when Luke was talking about some of the projects Habanero is working on, questioning whether or not the projects would ultimately be successful, and whether or not they would have any positive impact in the world, primarily because I don't feel that there's a strong connect between their business philosophy and what provides the greatest value to the customer - individually, yes, on the part of some people involved in the project, but not as a matter of philosophy. It's not that black and white, but it made me realize that I don't really care if Syzygy makes a million dollars or a single penny of profit - as long as any work we do do is done with the best interests of the customer in mind, and that we do with integrity, both professional and moral.
