Bush is confused about the events leading to war in Iraq. Shouldn’t this be fodder for those fair and balanced truth-detectors at Fox News, or at least the “non-partisan” InstaPundit? Hell, even a little attention from the “liberal media” would be appreciated.

Monkeytime touts shows by David Byrne and North Carolina artists at SECCA, while tweaking the NC Museum of Art. He’s right that the state’s most interesting contemporary art museums are in the Triad, not the Triangle – and he didn’t even mention the Weatherspoon, which leverages its serious collection (including the de Kooning above) into interesting shows, while bringing in exhibitions by national and local artists. The ‘Spoon is upgrading its mediocre website, and also preparing to make digital images from its collection available online. Yo, Monkey, come on up to G’boro for a fix.

My audio interview with Christopher Lydon has been posted to his weblog. He calls me a “local-global blogger,” which I like, although I’m not sure that I’m as respected around here as he says. Lydon’s doing something interesting in applying his talents to the Web -- I’m the fifth subject in his series of radio-style interviews about weblogs, following Dave Winer, Jim Behrle, Eugene Volokh, and David Weinberger.
