•••Luther, Lutheran, and Luther the Movie Anyone remember last month when I mentioned the upcoming film, "Luther"? Well, today the trailer for the film is out. I think it looks quite promising. Go see it for yourself! An ironic point of contrast, perhaps, when one compares at a slight hyped glance the Luther of the film trailer and considers what the adjective "Lutheran" could possibly intend to communicate when attributed to Jefferson Hills below. In all fairness, they haven't gone out of their way to grab hold the adjective "Lutheran." But if memory serves, I think "Lutheran" is supposed to mean something like "having to do with faith in Jesus as Luther believed and preached it."   2:09:47 PM   googleit 171

Here's a little contest: A free brand new copy of Luther's Small Catechism to the first person who can actually find the name: JESUS on a page hosted at www.jhchurch.org and email me with the URL. It's exceedingly hard to even find out this congregation actually claims to be Lutheran, not that the name Lutheran ought to mean anything. You don't have to be Lutheran at this 'lutheran' church.
