•••Am I Starting to Blither?
Golly, I'm rather ashamed of myself. When Christopher first asked me to go check out and chime in on a discussion over on Josh's page, I didn't figure I'd get so carried away. I really oughtn't to blather on and on like I did over on the Fearsome Pirate's blog. I do have my own blog, after all.
I'm verbose, generally speaking, and I know it. But that kind of a flood... Man I feel badly. It may have something to do with the fact that I did really quit smoking this time.
Zero cigs.
Wellbutrin is more helpful than anything I've ever tried.
NoseSucker has me convinced I'll keep having these blasted headaches and infections so long as I continually irritate my sinuses and prevent their healing by smoking. So I'm gonna try it his way for the next 18 years or so, at least. I've got nothing to lose and everything to gain by heeding his advice.
You see, the thought dawned on me how utterly idiotic of me it is to go find an incredibly well trained man, thoroughly respected in his field and by his peers, obtain his help and agree to be treated, pay him enormous sums of money, invest hours and days on appointments -- and then refuse his single most persistent piece of advice for solving my problem. After 2 surgeries and Lord alone only knows how many nosesuckings over the last years, I'm finally convinced. I'm taking the man at his word and actually believe him when he tells me I'll get better by doing this one single thing: don't smoke.
Trying daily to get rid of these headaches while still smoking over the last years hasn't worked at all. Bear with me, kind readers.
I quit.
