Pursuant to directives from Governor Pawlenty through the Department of Finance, effective immediately no new obligations are to be incurred with state funds (all funds including capital budget accounts but not including Federal fund 300). In addition payments for existing obligations should be delayed as long as possible without incurring a late payment penalty. No new contracts or grants are to be requisitioned or encumbered but do not cancel existing contracts or grants. No vacant positions are to be filled even if prior approval has been obtained.
