Burn, Burn, Burn! on all the huge companies sending jobs to China!  Now, due to the secretive and corrupt communist party of China that companies like NIKE support with their trade,  SARS has run amok there and the huge companies that take advantage of poverty and political repression are now afraid to send their people over there.  Just a reminder:  We are not just sending jobs there to take advantage of the lower wages.  We are sending jobs there because our democratic institutions are inconvenient for huge companies.  They can't ignore environmental laws here.  They can't ignore worker safety here.  They go off shore to avoid the laws that we have carefully put into place over the last 70 years.  They go to avoid the namby pamby public health officials in this country that have all these uptight ideas about cleanliness.. and they go to avoid public officials who wont take a bribe. 2:09:04 PM    comment []
