My PHP application has to be ported to an environment that has register globals turned off. That means that all those variables in PHP that just pop onto the script in a request won't be there anymore! Woe unto me for I have sloppy programming habits. I could go through all my pages and manually fix everything. This will take about 12 hours, I guess. That might help beat in the message, but I really wouldn't be learning any new skills. On the other hand, I could write a unix shell script that would find the offending variables and flag them in my code with comments. At least I would learn something while I did that.

Participate in fishing study on Mille Lacs:
Our project is a walleye hooking mortality study, which will begin shortly after the walleye opener and continue through early October. We need volunteers to go fishing. The best time to fish is from May through early July. The walleyes you catch will be released into net pens and observed for several days. You may bring your own boat, you may fish with the creel census clerks, or you may help process the captured fish. Doesn't that sound like fun? If you are interested in volunteering and want to know more about either project, please contact the 1837 treaty office. If you come across a non-DNR person who would like to volunteer to help catch fish, have them give me a call.

I found Rod Waldhoff's blog with geourl and I am trying out his "waypath it" macro that puts a link to waypath on all my entries.
