Reading Al Franken

John Beck loaned me the book, "Lies and the Lying Liars who tell them".  I wish I could write like that.... and take the time to fact check all the crap that conservatives dish out.

My favorite quotes so far:

Economic issues can seem dry and technical for the average person.  In fact, there is only one type of economic story that has proven to be universally captivating year after year.  I am speaking, of course, of stories about lottery winners:  where they bought their winning ticket; where they were when they heard that they had won;  whether they plan to keep their job; and what kind of car they plan to buy.

and ..

"Remember how Gore took credit for the Internet, which he funded?  Bush took credit for a Texas patients bill of rights, which he vetoed.  "

and

"I think Bill O'Reilly unquestionably has talent.  And not just a talent for lying.  And I'll admit I sometimes find his program entertaining, especially when he runs circles around a particularly inept guest, like the man with a lazy eye and speech impediment who's come on The Factor to demand rights for child molesters.  That can be good sport.
