Just drove back here from Vermont.  Highlights of the trip were getting lost in upstate New York and having a four-year-old throw up into some wrapping paper.  We stayed at a Howard Johnsons near Toledo.    Cheap as hell.  We threw all the deck furniture in the pool and lounged around on it, pretending it was our room.  Then, after we paid the last toll in Illinois, the window on our minivan didn't roll back up but  instead let out a grinding noise.  The Ford dealer in South Beloit taped it back into the "up" position and there it remains. Other than that, it was a pretty good trip.  The kids did great.  10:14:20 PM    comment []
