DOJ/BOP Policy on Community Confinement Enjoined by Judge in Middle District of Louisiana

Judge James Brady of the Middle District of Louisiana has issued a lengthy and well written opinion enjoining the redesignation of a women serving a sentence at the half-way house to a federal prision.  This redesignation was to come about as a result of a new policy announced at years end by the Ashcroft Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel which has been written about by the media elsewhere.
