New Friday
Notes: notes for next week
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Starting with January 7, 2005 Friday Notes 2 will cease to be
published and the New Friday Notes will replace it.
New Friday Notes will contain material for the next two weeks and will
only publish something once, with the exception of sections called "Due Date" & "Links" these
sections will be at the end just before the "fine print stuff".
We would like to receive News
Around NEILSA such as: new librarians, people who are
leaving, changes in contact information and the like but that will
depend entirely upon YOU providing the input.
Open Access & Access Plus:
The checks have gone out.
(edited)
Please note that Infrastructure checks are labeled "Enrich
Iowa." Open Access/Access Plus checks are labeled "Access Plus" unless
there is no Access Plus payment. All the money in these checks is for
Open Access and Access Plus reimbursement for FY 2004 transactions. There is no longer a
separate Infrastructure program.
If a library's Open Access/Access Plus reimbursement was
less than $150, the library got a check for $150 from the
Infrastructure fund labeled "Enrich Iowa." If the Open Access/Access
Plus reimbursement was more than $150, the library was paid 50.5% from
Enrich Iowa and 49.5% from Infrastructure (once again, with a check
labeled "Enrich Iowa.")
The actual reimbursement for each library was 28 cents per
transaction plus postage for Open Access and $1.70 per transaction for Access
Plus.
