How is it that I feel completely lost when it comes to the web and its technology.  I've worked for 2 years now as a vb programmer but I'm not sure that I'm actually any farther along, at least as a programmer, than I was when I started.  I feel overwhelmed with this whole web server, have a web page sort of thing.  I know that I need to learn one thing at a time and apply that but my nature doesn't like that, I want to know everything right now!!!

Grrr I have much to learn and little focus to learn it.  I suppose that focus is taught though. . . we shall see. . .we shall see

I've had an aha moment.  It seems that I forgot that I might be signed into a P2P deal.  Someone was uploading major stuff greatly reducing my bandwidth.  Maybe they can try again later.

I've been out of writing so long that all this feels strained.  Not sure why that is but I suppose that in writing, as in golf, practice is important and I'm so out of practice.  Pretty much shooting from the hip at this point, but it's starting to get better.

Data Collection: More the Merrier. Five universities put their collective computing heads together in a project that represents the next step in the advancing field of distributed computing. By Andy Patrizio.

Very interesting stuff, I'm all about harnessing unused power and since more and more people have computers, this could be breakthrough stuff.

For some reason my internet is way slow this evening.  Was working fine last night and then I rebooted the compter, but not the router and suddenly I'm at ISDN speeds.  This sucks.  Must find out what is going on because it's practically impossible to surf.

I do remember having a 2400 modem that was way slower and I'd surf for hours.  But then, maybe there was a reason for that. . . .
