Boselli goes under the knife again. The Houton Texans are an expansion team who selected Boselli as their first veteran. However, he definitely comes with risks, most notably his shoulders. The Texans are supposed to have a pretty good offensive line this year but without Boselli, they won't have jack. Which brings up the question of can an expansion team be any good at all in their first couple of years? I think that they can in football where money is rampant and free-agency rules the landscape. I would have to say that baseball is the opposite of football, Tampa Bay Devil Rays I rest my case.
However, the Texans could do ok if they don't rush Carr along into a role that he's not ready for. We'll see as things progress. |
Spanish Police and F.B.I. Get Their Men and Stolen Art. A sting operation on Friday recovered 10 of 17 masterwork paintings stolen last year from the mansion of one of the world's wealthiest women. By Ralph Blumenthal. I've often wondered what happens when art gets stolen. I'm sure there's a black market for these kinds of things but a high profile piece like a Goya has to be difficult to fence, not to mention a total of 17 pieces. Kudos to the FBI, who lately have had much trouble instilling confidence in those that matter. I wouldn't have thought that they would be working this case. I remember when this went down, thinking to myself what it would be like to own a masterpiece. I would like to collect art but masterpieces cost way more than my measly offerings and I don't know one thing about what makes a current piece turn into the masterpiece of the future.

I wish that I had more time to play around with Radio. Seems like it could be fun but the whole football pool website thing is really taking up most of my available time. Made progress on the Player Entry page tonight which is good. Head exploding at this point. . . 10:47:01 PM permalink What do you think? [] trackback [] |
