Tom says he's glad to see public support for the war waning (Just scroll for it, stupid blogger permalinks) but I think that's mostly because all the public hears is bad news about what's going on in Iraq. . .it's been noted rather regularly lately in the blogosphere of all the good things that are going on in Iraq which go unreported. . .Big Media, with it's typically liberal, typically anti-Bush agenda, is doing nothing to balance out the bad stories coming out of Iraq. . . Given the fact that most people get their news from major outlets and lots of major outlets get their news from the AP or Reuters, many of the good news stories are going noticed. . .but you can read about them here, here, here, here, and here. Those are just the links I get off Instapundit. There are many more out there but they just aren't being reported. Are bad things happening in Iraq? Sure. . .but we're rebuilding a country in a land where lots of people hate us. . .but that doesn't mean we shouldn't see reports from both sides coming out of Big Media. . .they are supposed to be unbiased after all. . . |
Gregg Easterbrook has a very interesting article on the continued power outage in DC. . .call me a cynic[Cynic. Ed. Shut up] but it rings true that a power company who seems to be rather cozy with The Washington Post might be prolonging an outage that could possible create a situation where they could get away with raising rates, even though they are currently operating under a rate freeze until 2005. . . Funny that the Post is a mostly conservative newspaper and they are siding with the big business operations instead of the common man they are supposed to report for. . . |
I swear I haven't given up on this blog yet. . .I've been writing at a football related blog if you want to read that [No one is reading this blog, why would you think anyone would go read another of your crappy blogs? Ed. Shut up.] and it's listed in the side bar. . .other than that, I've been working a little, having a life a little, and generally just being around. . .lots of football work going on for a variety of things I'm working on. . .I promise more to come here soon. . . 9:11:43 PM ![]() |
