Just caught the tail end of an interview on CNN with Jim Marshall, the Democratic Congressman who recently came back from Iraq saying that the media in America wasn't accurately portraying the situation in Iraq. . .I didn't see the whole interview but it seems that pressure is suddenly being put to Big Media to. . .oh I don't know. . .do journalism? Aaron Brown argued that CNN was doing the right thing by focusing on the deaths and security situation but he didn't sound to convinced himself. . .at the end though, he patted CNN on the back with a little comment concerning the two interviews showing a different side to what they (CNN) normally present. . .Way to go CNN for doing your job. . .what a deal. . . 9:50:19 PM ![]() |

A good review of a book on the death penalty. . .I don't see the point in having a death penalty when it's so poorly done. . .and given the cost of mistakes, it seems that it ought to be abolished. . .lock people convicted of capital crimes up for life, no parole. . .by no means, go soft on them. . .eventually, I think we'll see a shift away from public support of the death penalty but probably not anytime soon. . . 3:44:39 PM ![]() |
