You know, some people got no choice

And they can't never find a voice

To talk with that they can even call their own

So the first thing that they see

That allows them the right to be

Why they follow it, you know, it's called bad luck

Brian Eno was on Screen Savers tonight. Learned that he doesn't even really know how to play many instruments, gives hope to talentless me and my producer dreams.

But more importantly, he's involved in a program called The Long Now. It's an organization created to get people thinking about the long term, the really long term. They're trying to build a clock that will last for 10,000 years and ring a bell every day or every millenium.

When VH1 debuts a program called Best Week Ever dedicated to eulogizing last week (Hey, the bones of the 80's were picked clean), we know our memory is too short-sighted.

Remember the beginning of this post? Good times.
