[The Green Life]: The L.A. Times reported yesterday on TerraPass, a new company that enables consumers to take part in the industrial carbon credit trading system, the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCE).

A bit complicated, yet Lars Ulrich, a business professor who conceived of TerraPass and helped his students create it, hopes you will at least grasp this: 'A Toyota Prius costs about $3,000 more than a Corolla, and for that $3,000 you reduce carbon emissions by about 3 tons per year. But if you invested that $3,000 in TerraPass, you can save 375 tons of carbon.'

You pays your money and you takes your choice.
