First CAN-SPAM Suit Filed: John L. Fallat filed a lawsuit in federal court alleging that BobVila.com violated the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 by sending Hypertouch and its customers unwanted and unsolicited electronic mail advertisements for Bob Vila's "Home Again Newsletter."

Can Spam Overview: Jonathan Bick, counsel to Wolf, Block, Brach, Eichler and adjunct professor of Internet law at Rutgers Law School-Newark, provides an overview of the CAN-SPAM ACT on Gigalaw. He has also laid out the provisions, exceptions, penalties, and loopholes.
