Mother's Day only 2 1/2 weeks away!
I'm looking forward to it for two great reasons. First, I always get stunning gifts from Daughter---baseball weekend in Seattle, lunch with Patricia Neal at the Last Frontier Theatre Conference, all the appropriate accoutrements for my bike. Second, the leaves come out on the trees that weekend! We will be green instead of trashy, dirty brown.
On the realistic side of life----the gift from Daughter will be very special no matter what it is---but the leaves aren't going to make it. I don't think there is a single bud on a single tree in town.
I voted for May 3 on the Westchester Lagoon Ice Classic. Today, I think that is optimistic. We have about an equal amount of snow and bare ground in our yard and water is still dripping from our roof from the melting snow. .
