Another beautiful June day

Late this afternoon L and I went on our first summer picnic. We had supper by Campbell Creek ala The Road Runner and their picnic tables. We had driven out to the Regal to have our picnic on their patio with Bloody Mary's et al, but alas they weren't up and running yet for the season.

It's such a pretty evening, Daughter and I should be out Geo Caching. I really had a good time Mother's Day--click here for a full description and pictures.

All's Very Quiet on the King Front

They finished the roofing today. As of this evening, no more banging, ripping, hammering, and stapling. The roof looks great. I'm so glad I no longer have to worry about ice dams, leaks, and possible serious dry rot.

There is still some carpentry work to be done---new pieces of trim put up, a new piece of siding, etc. Also, sometime this summer the carpenter will send his new helper over to paint the trim on the house. With the new roof this spring and the new furnance last fall we are all restored and in good shape. And oh yes, don't forget the new window treatment!
