A Trip to Talkeetna
Yesterday afternoon L and I decided to drive up to Talkeetna for dinner at the Talkeetna Lodge.
It was a gorgeous drive up and back---sunny, 78 to 81 degrees, moderate traffic, no major delays through the road construction around Wasilla, and L's car loved going faster than 45 mph for the 2 hours up and the 2 hours back.
In Alaska one never knows whom one will see where. In the dining room Larry Csonka was sitting two tables from ours.
After dinner L and I sat on the deck for awhile and soaked up the sun and the scenery. Then we strolled along the hiking path, got into the car, and drove home.
