Darren and Lynne Get MarriedA picture named coll1 small.jpg

Darren and Lynne were among our earliest regular customers, back in May, which seems such a long time ago -  it has been a long summer.  They spent a lot of time with us, made firm friends with Rory and Jacqui, and celebrated Lynne's birthday with an intimate candlelight dinner on the sand, next to the lapping waves.  They enjoyed that so much that they decided to come back in September, get married in Tsilivi, and have their reception with us.  Well, it all came to pass on September 24; Frances Tsiolis of Tsilivi Travel made all the arrangements, Darren and Lynne came out from the UK with both sets of parents and  their children, Paula and Steve, were accommodated at the lovely Paleokaliva Village, had the ceremony in a garden, arrived at the beach in a horse-drawn carriage, and celebrated as planned on our lawn, next to the sea, with a gorgeous, rosy sunset behind them.  Here is a collage of pictures I made of the memorable event.

More Poetry from Anne

Anne's mind was active on the beach again yesterday, and she has left with another little verse, this time in English.

Last year I lost my best girl friend
Now she is speaking to me through the wind
When I see a star, I see her smile
Which I shall remember any time

I cannot tell her stories any more
But she is following me, I am sure
And one day we shall meet again
It will be in heaven - but I don't know when
