Sunday musings

I know this might blow your mind, but I've actually done a little house cleaning today.
The floors have been vaccumed and/or swept, funiture has been polished, mirrors cleaned, and the washing machine has been running nonstop.  It's simply amazing how dirty this place can get with only three people living here.  We're all such bums, though.  Even the pets. No-good, lazy animals...However, I experienced one of those rare bursts of domestic enthusiasm earlier and made a whole (ahem) half-hearted attempt to purge the house of layers of dust and cat hair.  Heck, I even lit a scented candle, took a bath, managed a short nap, and beat Scott at dominoes two out of three games.  Feels good to have actually accomplished something :)

"Dolly Danger"

A lil' update on Dolly for those of you who were kind enough to inquire...

It seems the Benadryl is working!  Her first dose was Friday evening, and we never heard her go into one of her "fits" all night long.  I bet the neighbors were as happy as we were lol.  Yesterday, we gave her two doses.  Once in the morning and again at night.  She spent several hours inside the house with us and rested comfortably, and was very obviously less agitated by the itching.  Remarkable, isn't it?  So, for the next several days we will stick with what's working.  I have to wonder, though, why the vet didn't think of it first.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
