A lil' Blogshare update
Just in case you're wondering (and I know you must be) there are some Sugarfused Blogshares still available.  I'm doing quite well with my portfolio and earned an 81.99% growth in my net worth so far this month.  I'm still having so much fun with the game!  Not only is it fun to compete, but the it's a great opportunity for exploring the diverse nature of this thing we call weblogging.  If only I could manage my real money as well!  lol

But what I REALLY wanna know......does smoke follow beauty??

Joe says it's a re-run link but I'm glad he's put Robert's post from last year into syndication.

Presenting "Everything You Thought You Knew About Grilling Is Wrong" plus! more grilling tips from a man who sure seems to know what he's talking about.  He even has a little advice for chopping onions.  I think I like this guy!!  Just let me know when the steaks are done.  I like mine medium rare - baked potato on the side ;)

And btw....if you're a geniune pioneer, Joe, does that make you old???  That blush looks good on you (hehee)!

Color Detector

Here's a cool tool for all you color schemers out there that Scott found the other day.  Makes it very simple to detect the exact pixel color on any page by pointing your mouse cursor anywhere on the screen.  This program, by far, is one of the best I've seen for choosing and matching colors.  You can download the Color Detector here.  Enjoy!

Don't ask where I found these....

If a pixie has his head up a fairy's skirt, then he's a goblin.

Visit the O.J Simpson website at: slash slash backslash escape.

Macho: Jogging home from your own vasectomy.

You can tell a macho woman because she rolls her own tampons.

Before "Tickle Me Elmo" dolls leave the factory, they give him 2 test-tickles.

Wicker Box: what Elmer Fudd wants to do to Madonna.

EROTIC is using a feather. KINKY is using the whole chicken.

Heheh :)

Bonsai Potato Art

Now it's things like this that tickle my funny bone.  I've got a hot contender growing in a bag here at home.  Never fully appreciated its zen quality before today lol

Saturday musings

What a super busy week it's been here.  I'm tired, but it's a good tired...know what I mean?  After my meltdown earlier in the week, I started making myself a little more "visible" around the workplace - spending more time out on the floor interacting with my staff and other departments instead of hibernating in my office buried in paperwork or staring at the laptop.  I tend to isolate myself which isn't always a good thing mentally, and does nothing to promote my position or provide me with the challenges I need to keep my mind stimulated.

Yesterday, my staff and I held a baby shower for my secretary which turned out to a huge success (even though I, as always, waited until the last minute to put it together).  Around 55 people attended, including some of the Nursing Home residents.   When I first started thinking about having the shower at work, I thought it might be nice to include some of the little old ladies we see every day.  They love special events...those little get-togethers for teas, card games and the like that the activities people plan for them, and I could envision them dressed to the nines in their little hats and gloves passing around baby gifts, oooing and awwing at baby booties and disposable diapers lol  There were 10 who showed up, and man! those ladies had a blast!  One in particular was 90 years old and had never attended a baby shower.  Imagine!  We got the biggest kick out of having them there :)

No big plans for the weekend, and it looks like rain's in the forecast once again.  We have some Ebay items to take to the post office this morning, and I picked up some potting soil after work yesterday to finish filling in the old whiskey barrel where I'll plant my Mother's Day flowers sometime before the rain rolls in today.  The house needs a good going-over and there are loads of clothes to be washed.  But all I want to do right this moment is enjoy my coffee and catch up with my reading.

Have a great Saturday everyone!
