Welcome to my first weblog from France. The plan is that these pages will be a journal of what stimulates, depresses, inspires or annoys me - so expect to find here a mix of idealism and gushing enthusiasm balanced by doses of polemic and cynicism. The sun's shining as always - as the french say - superbe. This is a far cry from the rain and gales that are commonplace at home in Ireland. My brother spent most of April in Boston and when he returned to Cork it rained constantly for 23 days - is this the flood or what? Definitely apocalyptic proportions. 10:07:54 AM
