VR Webcams: Time Artifacts as Positive Features is an interesting paper by Michael Naimark which considers the idea of creating a "VR webcam" which spans different moments of the day. Some example QT movies illustrate the concept. Watching the movie, there are lines in the panorama which represent jumps in time -- so it's like watching one location with several time portals in it. It might be a "mindbomb" as Dave Winer calls it.

Purpose |
VRlog provides news, developments and analysis of the virtual reality (VR) world from a nature photographer's perspective. Since I am not connected to or funded by any VR vendor, I intend to objectively appraise what's going on, and the direction VR is headed in. -- erik goetze
