While not strictly speaking about VR, this article at Salon covers streaming startup Burst's startling accusation of a secret no-compete agreement between Real Networks and Microsoft, and the legal battle going on over Burst patents and Windows Media 9's FastStream feature. Microsoft denies the no-compete claim.

Playbacktime offers a perspective on the article, without mentioning the no-compete accusation.
